To ensure that we have a world with clean water, air and land to sustain our future and the healthy living conditions required by the fine animals at the core of our business, we have made a commitment to becoming an environmentally sustainable business at our distribution center in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
We have already begun making positive changes at our Carlstadt facility by conducting a carbon footprint assessment to determine the sources of our emissions. Upon receipt of the results, we have taken measures to become more energy efficient, reduce waste, increase recycling, streamline our transportation, and invest in alternative energy and carbon offsets.
